Love, bonito ‘LYLAS’ Collection Review

Love Bonito's newest LYLAS collection pieces are finally here! LYLAS, or Love You Like A Sister collection, is a bridal collection with figure-flattering pieces that you can wear as bridesmaids, wedding guests, and beyond. As a fan of Love Bonito and its elegant details, I was excited about the new pieces! I will try on a few pieces that caught my eye in this blog.

Before we start, here is some information on my specification. 170 cm in height, 53 kg in weight, 77 cm bust, 65 cm waist, 84 cm hips.

Entering the store and looking at the LYLAS section, I was drawn to the Valorie Flutter Sleeve Mermaid Dress. On top of the elegant design, the mermaid silhouette is flattering on an hourglass body type. The sleeve design is unique that adds detail to the dress, which what drawn me to this dress.

I'm wearing XS in the picture, and since it's a flowy dress, I feel it's safer to go proper to your size. I think this dress would be perfect for a day occasion dress. When it comes to the material, it's thick and quite heavy, but you can still twirl around! This dress comes in 4 colours: Butternut, Willow, Beige and Navy Blue.

Caelyn Organza Lace Tie Shoulder Top is this pretty lace top with bow details on both shoulders. The delicate floral lace pattern is lovely. This Beige is my favourite among all the colourways as it highlights the design.

I feel it's harder to get into this top with two layers of fabric. Hence, I recommend up a size for this top as the lace isn't stretchy and rigid. (I'm wearing S) Though the pattern is pretty, this top isn't comfortable to wear. It all comes to vanity over comfort for this top.

To pair Caelyn Top, I tried this Karley Straight Leg. I wore this pants in Beige, Size XS. This pair of pants is my fav from the LYLAS collection - this says a lot because all the other dresses are so pretty. I like bootcut/flare pants because look at this crazy leg-lengthening magic! I'd suggest wearing heels for this pair if you're <1.63m! But for my tall girls, this is the perfect length that will flatter your legs. The fit is tight, so I'd say go for your proper size with this one.

The Shine Padded Low Twist Back may seem like a simple O-neck dress. But when you turn around, the surprise is in the twisted lower back. This dress is perfect for flaunting your back! And don't worry about stick-on because this dress comes with padding. But I noticed the pads aren't that secure since they kept moving around. But they are easily adjustable enough, so it's not a problem.

The fabric is thick as well but still flowy! Since it's more fitted at the top, I wore S for this design, and I recommend you to up a size or go for your actual size. Simple yet beautiful, I think this dress is a match to wear after the big day.

Last elegant dress I tried on is this Rayanna Padded Ruffle Sleeve Pencil Dress. Once again, I was attracted by the ruffle sleeves. You can wear it two ways, and this dress gives you options. The silhouette differs from the previous pieces I've tried, as this dress has a pencil midi finish.

This dress also has a surprise detail on the back! The double-knotted design stunningly adds a unique touch to this dress. It also has paddings; you can find the zip closure on the sides. The fabric is thick, and I find it tight since it's a pencil dress. I wore S, but I can go for the M for better movement. This Willow colour is my favourite for this dress. I mean, who doesn't love a soft green colour? This dress is a blend of softness that is perfect to wear during the day!

That were all the pieces that caught my eye from the LYLAS October '22 collection. Overall, these dresses are high-quality, and most parts were provided by double lining and padding. But I found these pieces are rather hard to move in since they hug your figure. So, comfort is not the priority when wearing this collection's parts. Design-wise, every piece is elegant but still maintains its simplicity. Released on 12th October, these new pieces are now available to shop online and across Love Bonito's stores.
