My Experience Shooting For Caramel Monster
This is my first fashion shot for a Singaporean brand, however, I've done many others in the past. Caramel Monster is a brand for women that carries dresses and other feminine clothing. When I was contacted by them on Instagram, I was thrilled because I love their page and felt our aesthetics would mesh nicely.
The session lasted for 5 hours and took place in their warehouse/store. I was one of four models who posed for photos and films for their collateral alongside two members of their marketing team. The goal of the photo session was to virtually "try on" the selected collection in a variety of sizes. The majority of the content was shot by two members of their marketing team, but we models also shot some content in the mirror. Psst, they weekly open their warehouse for visits on the weekends, but you have to make reservations! go check their Instagram to do so.
Being a student in Singapore, I am incredibly appreciative to have had the chance to participate in this shoot with a company whose values I share. Before the shoot, I was anxious because I had no idea what would happen. The shot itself astonished me because I felt so at ease. Even though I was carrying out directions, the marketing department was also receptive to my suggestions. In addition, I was able to meet other models and form friendships with them. To my great fortune, everyone I worked with was pleasant. One of them, I found out, was an influencer who has signed many endorsement deals.
In addition, I was able to connect with Caramel Monster's marketing department and swap Instagram handles with some of their employees. Seeing how much I enjoy being in front of the camera, I hope to book more modeling jobs in the future thanks to this session.
